'Aquaman' Remains King at the Chinese Box Office

The King of the Sea "Aquaman" remains as the leader in the Chinese box office this week for the third straight week according to China Film News.

The DC Comic superhero film, featuring Jason Momoa, brought in 1.6 billion yuan since it was released in China on December 7.

Following the film is the animated superhero film "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse", which raked in 180 million yuan at the box office since December 21. At third is the Chinese comedy film "Airpocalypse" which raked in 85 million yuan on its debut weekend.

"Kung Fu Monster", another Chinese comedy, is on fourth place and brought in 52 million yuan since it was released on December 21.

The last on the top 5 list is Hayao Miyazaki's animation classic "My Neighbor Totoro" which debuted on December 14 and recorded a 138 million yuan revenue.
