On Monday, Hainan Airlines launched its first direct flight between Xi'an and Los Angeles.
The route, operated by a Boeing 787 Dreamliner, is the first direct flight from Xi'an to Los Angeles.
The trips are scheduled every week on Mondays and Thursdays. The Xi'an to Los Angeles flights would leave Xi'an Xianyang International Airport at 9:10 pm Beijing time. The Los Angeles to Xi'an flight will leave Los Angeles International Airport at 11 pm US time.
With the introduction of the new route, Xi'an Xianyang International Airport will now connect Chinese passengers to 53 overseas cities without needing to transit from other airports.
