On the occasion of International Women’s Day which falls on March 8 each year, we offer women twelve Bible passages to receive grace, healing, and strength from the Lord Christ.

On the life journey full of uncertainties, we may encounter difficulties — emotionally, physically, psychologically, or mentally — losing faith.

We may think that we will never overcome certain challenges or endure unbearable pain. Thankfully, the Bible announces a reality through many healing verses: “You will never feel lonely. You have the power to do hard things as God is always there to help you.”

Bible passages can inspire us to receive soul healing by growing. Even in hard times, every day is new. Let’s give ourselves more time, as there is no deadline. There are better days ahead no matter what you feel or experience.

Below are twelve Bible passages to offer hope to women in different circumstances.

Isaiah 57:18-19

I have seen their ways, but I will heal them;

    I will guide them and restore comfort to Israel’s mourners,

       creating praise on their lips.

Peace, peace, to those far and near,”

    says the Lord. “And I will heal them.”

Isaiah 41:10 So do not fear, for I am with you;

    do not be dismayed, for I am your God.

I will strengthen you and help you;

    I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Revelation 21:4 “‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

John 14:7 “If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.”

Psalm 6:8-10

  Away from me, all you who do evil,

    for the Lord has heard my weeping.

  The Lord has heard my cry for mercy;

    the Lord accepts my prayer.

   All my enemies will be overwhelmed with shame and anguish;

    they will turn back and suddenly be put to shame.

Matthew 9:20-22 Just then a woman who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak. She said to herself, “If I only touch his cloak, I will be healed.”

Jesus turned and saw her. “Take heart, daughter,” he said, “your faith has healed you.” And the woman was healed at that moment.

Jeremiah 8:14-17

Why are we sitting here?

    Gather together!

Let us flee to the fortified cities

    and perish there!

For the Lord our God has doomed us to perish

    and given us poisoned water to drink,

    because we have sinned against him.

   We hoped for peace

    but no good has come,

for a time of healing

    but there is only terror.

   The snorting of the enemy’s horses

    is heard from Dan;

at the neighing of their stallions

    the whole land trembles.

They have come to devour

    the land and everything in it,

    the city and all who live there.

   “See, I will send venomous snakes among you,

    vipers that cannot be charmed,

    and they will bite you,”

declares the Lord.

Jeremiah 17:14

Heal me, Lord, and I will be healed;

    save me and I will be saved,

    for you are the one I praise.

Malachi 4:1-2 “Surely the day is coming; it will burn like a furnace. All the arrogant and every evildoer will be stubble, and the day that is coming will set them on fire,” says the Lord Almighty. “Not a root or a branch will be left to them. But for you who revere my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its rays. And you will go out and frolic like well-fed calves.”

Isaiah 53:4-6

Surely he took up our pain

    and bore our suffering,

yet we considered him punished by God,

    stricken by him, and afflicted.

   But he was pierced for our transgressions,

    he was crushed for our iniquities;

the punishment that brought us peace was on him,

    and by his wounds we are healed.

   We all, like sheep, have gone astray,

    each of us has turned to our own way;

and the Lord has laid on him

    the iniquity of us all.

Psalm 73:25-26

    Whom have I in heaven but you?

    And earth has nothing I desire besides you.

     My flesh and my heart may fail,

    but God is the strength of my heart

    and my portion forever.

3 John 1:2 Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well.
