Everything in the world has two sides of good and bad. We always judge something or someone by our own idea, experience and things in sight.

Judging people actually is a process of labeling one’s own self. Paul said in Romans: “There is none righteous, no, not one (Rom 3:10). We ourselves even are not perfect, what standpoint we hold to judge others.

Why Should You Not Judge People?

I. Avoid breaking the human relations

The lord said: Judge not, that you be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. (Mat 7:1-2)

No one likes to be judged, however we like to judge others in reality but don’t want to be judged. People tend to convict others by sensory, but forgive own crime. Therefore, all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do you even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets. (Mat7: 12) . When brothers and sisters judge and declare each other, their relationship must be broken. God said to us, Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven(Luk 6:37).

II. Avoid breaking the relationship between man and God

Herefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things. But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things.(Rom 2:1-2)

If we judge people, God will also judge us for our deeds. When we will be judged by God, our spirit will not feel safe so that will also affect the relationship between man and god.

Thou shalt love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with your mind…(Mat 22:37) The Lord wants us to love god, love person, love each other. Judging people is running in opposite directions with god will, it inevitably destroy relations of man and god, the relationship of the people, will be judged by god's wrath.

How will we do?

I. Remember that we are all sinners.

From the Gospel of John chapter 8, 1-11, everyone will throw stones to her. Woman was taken in adultery, in the very act. And Jesus said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. we are prone to annoyed and impatient at others’ trouble instead of examine myself. And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in your own eye? (Mat 7:3-4)Jesus said as followed , he described one who is a hypocrite. That let me know that the beam is bigger than thorn, we all not pull out the mote out of eyes, how can we judge people?

II. Treat others with love.

Gospel Luck recorded that Jesus heals the paralytic beside Bethesda pool. The paralytic was ill for 38 years, no one cares, no one to ask. Angel came to stir the pool water, and then everyone wants to enter water first, though he just stood in here, ignore it.

Jesus observed his desire for recovery and yearn for healthy, so he heal him. If we are like those who crowded to the pool, only own myself in sight, losing sight of others’ pain.

Jesus instructs us “Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that you mete withal it shall be measured to you again.” (Luk 6:38)

III. Learn to manage your quarrel

In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise.( Pro10:19)we should rethink ourselves before judging others. If what we said is accord to the truth or not?  Is there a doping personal feelings and views inside? And including the selfness, envy or prejudice ? If you have, forbid your lip because tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindle! (Jam 3:5-6)

Let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil. ( Mat 5:37) . we should speak trustily and credibly, frank when Knowing. Keeping silent when don't know. Don’t be discursive for whatever is more than these come of evil.
