Proverbs 21:20 says " The wise have wealth and luxury, but fools spend whatever they get."

Have you taken a look at your current money on hand, where it goes and what percentage of it you are spending? With this scripture above, a fool is considered not having a self-control.

There are ways to teaching ourselves in not spending all the money we get. We need to try to set money aside for our savings and tithing.

I get the idea that we worked hard to earn money but is it not tiring to earn money hard but easy to let it all go?

You need to keep budgeting your money or you will end up with nothing in cases of emergencies.

Here are other Bible verses that may enlighten you in how to spend your money:

Matthew 6:19-21

"Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."

Isaiah 55:2

"Why do you spend your money for that which is not bread, and your labor for that which does not satisfy? Listen diligently to me, and eat what is good, and delight yourselves in rich food."

James 4:3

"You ask and do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your passions."

1 Timothy 6:10

"For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs."

1 Timothy 6:17

As for the rich in this present age, charge them not to be haughty, nor to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy.
