All human beings naturally have pride may it be an adult or a child. But pride doesn't bring any good to people. It is never a good thing. Pride causes chaos. It is evil. It departs us from God. It causes us to turn away from God instead of turning to Him.
A lot of relationship nowadays has been broken because of pride. Rebellion escalates because of it. Pride is the root of all disobedience and mistreatment.
Pride is said to be a faith in one's self but faith in God is not a faith in yourself. Only by faith in the Most High we receive abundant blessings.
I urge you to pray without ceasing so we will not be bothered so much with pride. Prayer is our only weapon.

1. The pride of your heart has deceived you, you who live in the clefts of the rocks and make your home on the heights, you who say to yourself, 'Who can bring me down to the ground?' Obadiah 1:3

3. In his pride the wicked does not seek him; in all his thoughts there is no room for God. Psalm 10:4
