It is brutal and heartbreaking but the Jesus' death on the cross is the most beautiful and most powerful act of love this world has witnessed. The Holy Bible paint an epic timeline of this memorable event but if you look closer and read the story once again, there's a time when Jesus was on the cross, God has been silent.

In John 19:30, it says "When Jesus had tasted it, he said, "It is finished!" Then he bowed his head and released his spirit."

It can be noted that God was silent. Where did God go? Did He forsake His son, Jesus?

We can also remember in Matthew 27:46 where it says, "At about three o'clock, Jesus called out with a loud voice, "Eli, Eli, lema sabachtani?" which means "My God, my God, why have you abandoned me?"

These words have caused debate among Christians. Some people assumed that since Jesus has sin, God turned away from him. Others also speculate that God was there and never silent, it was just that Jesus was blinded by sins that forbids him from hearing his Father's voice.

We may not always understand and even assume we do not hear God's voice but God's silence means something deep and powerful. We must trust that God provides and heals us in His own ways, in His own timing. We may never understand how He works but He definitely won't leave us and forget about our existence.

We might failed to realize that God's silence is His way of doing things on His own will, timing and own plan. He plans and works mighty things for us. And we must believe, have faith and trust in Him. Trust in His unfailing love.
