Many Christians came to God because they were attracted to God’s love that tastes good and sweet. As our Christian walks with the Lord get longer amid spiritual wars, our understanding of God’s love may turn obscure. Particularly facing sufferings, hitting rock bottom or experiencing unheard prayers, we may shout in our hearts: God, do you really love me?

Once we are stuck in our weaknesses, Satan attacks us through lies: it seems our God is very far away from us and he does not really love us. Thus, we need to read the Bible to be convinced of his love. God’s love was manifested when his son Jesus Christ was born into the world and crucified on the cross. We should often read the stories about Jesus to regain strength in our weaknesses and lowest points in our lives.

Below are ten Bible verses about God's love for meditation.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Psalm 103:8 The Lord is compassionate and gracious,

    slow to anger, abounding in love.

Jeremiah 31:3 The Lord appeared to us in the past, saying:

“I have loved you with an everlasting love;

    I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.

1 John 4:16 And so we know and rely on the love God has for us.

God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.

1 John 4:10 This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.

Psalm 103:11 For as high as the heavens are above the earth,

    so great is his love for those who fear him;

John 13:35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.

John 15:11-12 I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.

1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.
