“Zhejiang Theological Seminary’s Research and Practice Education Base ” set up in Wenzhou

The unveiling ceremony of "Zhejiang Theological Seminary's Research and Practice Education Base" held in Wenzhou Liushi Church on July 9th. The base is designed to build an interactive platform between the seminary and the church. The church provide the space for teaching, research, and pastoral practice for the students in the seminary and at the same time, the teachers and students in the seminary can help the church in teaching, ministry, management and other aspects.
Wenzhou Liushi church can be traced back to the Qing Dynasty with its history of over 120 years. The new church can accommodate 5,000 people at the same time. Liushi Church is also the research base of Christian Research Center of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences which was held on February 19th, 2013. The research base is the first one founded under the rule of academic research and friendly cooperation.
