The Ninth Cross-Strait YMCA Joint Music Concert Held in Xiamen

In the evening of Oct. 31, the Ninth "Singing Together" Cross-Strait YMCA(Young Men's Christian Association) Joint Music Concert was held in Xiamen Dance Drama Opera. The concert attracted Xiamen Channel which reported it.
Xiamen Channel reported that nine music teams from seven cities performed splendid programs on Oct. 31. Since 2007 when the first "Singing Together" Cross-Strait YMCA Joint Music Concert was held, every autumn the music teams from cross strait comes to Heron Island to sing beautiful songs as communication.
Xiamen YMCA hosted this concert and the performance teams have Taipei YMCA Chorus, Taichung YMCA harmonica Team, Kaohsiung YMCA Muen Indoor Band, Shanghai YMCA Huaai Chorus, Tianjin YMCA, Shanxi St. Orchestra, Xiamen YMCA Cedar St. Orchestra, Xiamen YMCA Vine Band and Xiamen YMCA Leyou Chorus. 186 people attended performance, attracting 1200 audiences.
YMCA is a global organization. Modern and contemporary sports have close relationship with it for basketballs and volleyballs were invented and spread by USA YMCA and Chinese modern and contemporary sports benefit from the advocation by YMCA of China. In recent years, the Cross-Strait YMCA Joint Music Concert held in Xiamen every October attracts more people and gains a greater influence.
