Teachers Training Class of "Fostering Day Care Service for the Disabled" Completed, Held By YMCA in Najing

Recently 29 students has completed the course from the third teachers training class of fostering day care service for the disabled. The training class was held by Nanjing YMCA and YWCA.

The training consists of 16 subjects with over 180 class hours. The teachers adopted the teaching methods of theoretical lectures, case studies and studying outside the classroom combined with observation, displaying the care service vividly and making it more acceptable for the students.

The Home of Grace owned by Nanjing YMCA was rated as one of Nanjing "Top Ten" Day Care Institutions for the Disabled recently.

In recent five years Nanjing YMCA and YWCA focus on the vulnerable groups, organize training volunteers and provide service for the aged, disabled and poor teenagers. They have recruited fund of over 4.8 million yuan from overseas and opened the Home of Grace, a day care center for the disabled and the Truls Eco Gader, an agricultural treatment basement for training self-care ability of the disabled.

Nanjing YMCA was officially established on April 1, 1912 donated by Sun Yat-sen and Nanjing YWCA was officially founded in 1919.
