A preaching team of Chinese Christian theology construction launches a training program in Shanghai from Feb. 22 to 23, 2017. An estimated number of 130 people including key members and heads of CCC＆TSPM attend it.
In the opening ceremony, Elder Fu Xianwei, chairman of TSPM, states that the preaching team should continue to act on the thinking laid out in the national conference on religious work and the policy on religious work in the final year of the five-year campaign launched in 2013 to promote Christian theology in the country.
He holds that the campaign should focus on the topic of "mission and hope," preach in grassroots churches and discover and develop talents through this platform.
Chen Zongrong, deputy director of the State Bureau of religious affairs, emphasizes the importance of the integration of the thinking of the conference and religious policy into the campaign. Regarding solving prominent religious problems, he points out that it's necessary to distinguish exchanges from foreign penetration and a must to obey regulations when it comes to religious communication with foreign countries.
Supervision will be strengthened in illegal publications concerning extremism, violence and terror. Meanwhile, the country will pay attention to the religious issue on the Internet.
The top official proposes a specific principle of uniting religious people as much as possible to deal with private gatherings. He adds that we should provide support and assistance to the construction of religious groups, perfect religious system and mechanism as well as clarify their relations with the authority and religious premises.
What's more, we should support the role of the religious community in religious affairs and stress on training religious talents.
The speeches on the interpretation of preaching and sinicization of Christianity from the perspectives of the Bible and theology are held by Rev. Kan Baoping, associate president and secretary-general of CCC and three teachers from Nanjing Union Theological Seminary.
