Jesus Christ once said, "My sheep knows my voice."

Some people may be bothered and mentioned that they had difficulty discerning the voice of God. But, how can we know when is the time that God is speaking to us?

We may think that hearing and knowing God's voice comes with familiarity. Once you heard Him, it will be difficult to forget and not listen.

Here are some of the theories why we may not hear God's voice.

We are not paying attention and we are not listening.

Maybe, we are just too blinded with our own worries and too big of a hurry that we cannot hear God's voice. Maybe we are hearing a lot of voices in our heads that we find it difficult to identify His own voice. Perhaps, we do not like what He is saying so we instead tune Him out.

We are disobedient to what He is telling us.

We may find it difficult to hear God's voice after we proved to Him that we are not worthy of His words. Why would God talk to people who always ignore Him, right?

We are engrossed into believing that we do not hear God's voice.

We hear God's voice. Jesus said that we would hear Him and He doesn't lie. The enemy of Jesus always wants us to doubt ourselves and doubt God that's why He is making us believe that we cannot hear God's voice.

What is the importance of hearing God's voice?

If we do not hear God's voice, we may be lost and cannot be found. In the end, remember that a lost sheep oftentimes eaten by a wolf.
