We may experience heartache and our hearts may be shattered because of rejection from a loved one, from people we want to get close with or maybe because we didn't get what we expected. Life is truly giving us a hard time and that makes us heartbroken.

However, God said, according to the Bible that we should not focus on the heartbreak but instead, look into the brighter side of it.

In Psalm 147:3, the Bible says, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." God is saying that whenever our hearts are broken and shattered due to the unwanted things happening in our lives, we need to turn to Him as He can help us heal it and bind up the wounds that were created by rejection, hatred and failure.

When we think that it is all over for us, remember that God said, in Psalm 34:18 that He is "near to the brokenhearted and He saves the crushed in spirit."

And by God's strength, grace and help, we can do all things (Philippians 4:13).

We also need to learn to wait for God's will. Sometimes, we get our hearts broken because of too much expectation, too much excitement about things that aren't for us. We need to know what God has prepared for us by acknowledging His will. According to Jeremiah 29:11, we should know the plans He has for us because these plans are for our own welfare and not for evil, it is to give us hope in the future.
