Prayer of the Broken Heart

A few months ago, a close friend of mind went to this hilarious kind of change, she started to look more radiant, more beautiful, it feels like everything is a good day to her.

Asking that friend, she told me that she started praying for this "person" and that he is one of the reasons why she is feeling good right now.

For quite a while, the magic spell of being interested to someone has worked its powers to my friend, however, her soul came crashing down the moment she learned that he was seeing someone else.  All those late night talks were all for naught because he was only asking her those kind of questions for "his girlfriend".

My friend, on the other hand, felt used and sad. She had exhorted quite an effort for the person, praying for him day and night but it all in vain.

Basing it to the Bible, Jesus actually answers prayers. However, sometimes he has these three answers: the magical yes, no and wait.

The waiting game is not something that we all like, but as we grow closer to God we will realize that all things work together for good.

I talked to my friend about it, and she was nothing but accepting to the fact that maybe it was just not meant to be.

As the Bible verse in Ecclesiastes 3:1 says "To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:"

All our prayers are being heard by God. He is not deaf nor blind, He feels our spirit, heals our hearts and makes us whole again.

No matter how broken hearted we are, God will accept us just the same, warts and all.

As I continue my conversation with my friend, it was refreshing to hear that she did her devotion right before we meet up to talk.

Her decision; however, is to stop praying particularly for that person; but, she will still pray that God will give her the desires of her heart.

The problem with singling out a person in prayer is, sometimes we get upset when things don't turn out the way we want it to be.

But God is good, His mercies are everlasting, and it's just one guy. There are a lot of other men out ther who will see her, in God's perfect time.
