Because you are worth dying for. - John 3:16

A few days ago, I came across this music video from a Korean rockband named "Day 6". The title of the new song is "Shoot Me", which is the carrier track for their 2018 comeback album.

As I watch the music video, the lyrics of the song triggered something inside of me, something that has been kept in the dark for way to long.

At the start of the music video, there was a quote saying "vicious words hurt like a bullet" while the video shows a man and a woman sitting parallel to each other, then the woman started shooting at him. At the beginning of the second verse, different group of people started shooting at the person who was left all alone, receiving all the bullets while the group fired away.

At the end of the song; however, he definitely fired back, the strongest he can muster, to the group's surprise. The person who was being shot at never fired bullets at them, rather he fired them with colorful, vibrant pastel colored paints.

Point taken, everything in that music video was mainly fictional save for the message that it carries.  And that is not all people who are being bullied will act as the bully.  Some are kind enough to forgive and to give another chance to the people who may have hurt him.

Nowadays, everyone seems to be having thoughts in taking their own lives because of pain, anguish, stress, depression, being harassed, and being bullied.

But as a Christian, always remember your self's worth.  No matter how ugly, irrelevant, stupid and negative people sees you, Jesus never thought twice and died for you because He loves you so much.

As the Bible verse John 3:16 says:

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

There will come a time in our lives where words can console us anymore, but when that time comes, keep this verse in your heart and mind.

No matter how crappy you think your life is, Jesus died for you, and you matter.  Someone more bigger that those problems and bullies loves you for who you are.  The perfectly imperfect human being you are.

You are loved

Jesus Loves you.
