Every person has several different kinds of reaction that he or she can show in a matter of minutes, but the question is, "How do we act when we are being tested?"

By being tested means, encountering trials and temptations in our lives.  As Christians, we often go into a phase where our faith is being tested by God.

But do you know that the way we act plays a huge part in this scenario?

You might be wondering why God wants us to suffer if He loves us.

Let us take gold as an example.  The process of knowing if a gold is true and not a fake one is by burning it.

Our faith is like that.  I am not saying that if we somehow act badly in times of trial, then we are not saved.

What I am saying is how do we act in times of trouble?

Do we pray to God? Or do we blame Him in every little bad thing we encounter?

You see, it's easy to serve God when we feel pampered, taken care off, loved and blessed.  But sometimes, we come to a point in our life where our faith is being tested.

Just like how God tested Job.

 In Job 1:1,

"There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil."

If we study the first chapter of the of Job in the Bible, this man's story has to be pretty dark.  He was rich, had many sons and daughters and had every money in the world and yet, in one blink, the Lord tested his faith.

(v9) " Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought?"

When the day of the testing came, he lost everything: his children, his money and even his wife because the woman condemned the Lord for giving them a hard time.  However, Job looked unto God and no one else.

The moment he lost everything, he praised God, he did not blame him.  And no, he is not a martyr nor a masochist, but his love for God is far greater than we could imagine, just like God's love for us.

And to make the long story short, everything that he lost, God had returned to him even more.

We do not just worship God because we have everything, even when we have nothing, we still need to serve God with all our heart.

We are born nothing and will die nothing, but with God in our lives, we have something to live for, not the tangible earthly things, but the things that are unseen, the things that will last us for eternity.

Matthew 6:33

"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."
