Growing up in a Christian home, my mom would always, always tell me to live with humility, grace, dignity, compassion and to always keep God's word in my heart.

But as time goes on, I realize that practicing even one act is so difficult it frustrates me!

In this modern era, where everyone is constantly competing for likes and popularity, the list goes on and on to a beautiful Instagram feed or a YouTube worthy video. Unfortunately, people have forgotten that before technology reaches its peak, good values and right conduct is the most essential to any human being, be it a boy or a girl.

FINDING AFFIRMATION

We always want to be assured on how we look or how we make other feel.  Such a sad thing to say but every one of us, or at least most of us, wanted to be affirmed on how they impact other people.

But the Bible says a different thing according to the book of Luke 1:45

"And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord."

The word "believe" means so much in this passage.  Salvation is the key to a happy and contented life.  We always want something. We have that insatiable appetite that no material thing nor physical contact nor affirmation from the opposite sex can fill.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and what's more beautiful is a woman who shines brightly for God.  This is not anti-feminist notion at all!

Of course we do things for our sake, but God is not like other men, God also created us in His own image.

He wants us to shine brightly like starts in the sky, and how do we do that?  Not by hoarding attention, but by being a living example of God's love for others.

If we eminate God's love in our life, we attract all kinds of positivity.  Trust me, I have a friend who does that and even when I have moments where I want to get angry with her, I just can't.

In the end, I also did the same-I practiced living by God's words.  I started to care more about my spiritual growth than my outward appearance. Nothing is more inspiring than a Christian feminist who is strong enough to care for others than herself.

Proverbs 11:16

A gracious woman retaineth honour: and strong men retain riches.
