CEOs and senior leaders of local YMCAs all over the world will meet in Shanghai from October 14 to 19, 2018, according to Shanghai Municipal Commission of Ethnic and Religious Affairs.
Founded in 1972, the YMCA World Urban Network (WUN) aims to improve the communication and sharing between urban YMCAs of the same type to face challenges. The conference is conducted every three years.
The platform exists to build peer support and offer training and development opportunities to secretary generals, senior workers, and volunteer leaders of the Christian-based organizations.
The Shanghai YMCA joined WUN in 2012 and was invited to host this year's conference.
Themed in "innovation, integration, and development", the 2018 conference will include keynote reports, parallel forums, program presentation as well as visits and practice. The participants will visit social services provided by the Shanghai YMCA.
