During July 15 to 25, 2019, Hangzhou Young Women's Christian Association (YWCA) and Sicheng Church held a joint English training course for volunteers.

According to Hangzhou Christian Council & Three-Self Patriotic Movement, the two organizations intended to build a Christian team of volunteers that would offer services in English as an integral part of the volunteering effort for the 2022 Asian Games that will be held in Hangzhou.

During the "2019 Creative English Conversation Training Class", five teachers, recommended by the Education & Culture Foundation registered in California, gave courses with the theme "We Are the World".

The leading teacher, Molly, and the rest, all taught using poetry, lyrics, Aesop's fables and stories, focusing on improving the volunteers' oral, conversational and writing skills in English.

The volunteers were engaged in various ways, including games, music, movie, plays, skits and role-playing.
