And you must also testify, because you have been with me from the beginning. -John 15:27 NIV

Every true disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ is expected by God to evangelize.

Evangelism doesn't only happen in big arenas or in wide open-air crusades. A person does not need a stadium packed with people to testify. If all Christians were stage evangelists, how would the gospel reach the people who can't go to the big events?

And you must also testify. This is a command, not a suggestion. Who do we testify about the Lord Jesus to? Well, who are the people who are closest to our hearts?

We must testify to our families, to our relatives, friends, and whoever the Lord leads us to testify to.

Every unsaved man and woman is automatically standing in line on the way to hell. If we see our family members trapped in a house caught on fire, we won't just stand there and watch. We'll do something. We might even run in into the house ourselves and save them. But one thing is for sure: we will not let our loved ones go to hell if we can help them.

And the good news is, we can through Jesus Christ.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. -John 3:16 NIV

For, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."

How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? How can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?

Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.

-Romans 10:13-14 & 17

So, we have to testify to other people about the gospel. Jesus does not want anyone to go to hell and perish, but salvation depends on a person's faith, and like the verses mentioned above, how can they have faith if they don't hear the good news? Someone has got to go and share the gospel.

If you had the cure to cancer, won't you share it? You have the cure to death. Get out there and share it. -Kirk Cameron
