China's foreign ministry has urged North Korea and United States to directly talk face-to-face to resolve the problems regarding North Korea's latest rocket test.

While it has been known that China was believed to be angry by the launch saying it would affect China's own security, it has expressed concern by Seoul and Washington in plans of deploying advanced US missile defense system.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hong Lei told news reporters that the focus of the nuclear issue on the peninsula is between the North Korea and United States.

"We urge the United States and North Korea to sit down and have communications and negotiations, to explore ways to resolve each other's reasonable concerns and finally reach the goal we all want reached," he added.

To recall, on February 7, North Korea launched a long-range rocket carrying a satellite which had drawn international condemnation weeks after they started carrying out bomb test on nuclear.

The said launch was for peaceful purposes but both Washington and Seoul have said that it has violated United Nations Security Council due to the usage of ballistic missile technology.

"We hope all sides ca take steps to ameliorate the tense situation", Lei added.
