On September 5, Legislative Affairs Office of the State Council of PRC announced that it is to seek public advices for the revised draft of regulations on religious affairs for examination and approval. The advices can be given through the official website of the LAO, letters or email.

The regulations has been passed 11 years ago as the present regulations on religious affairs was issued on November 2004 and became effective in March 2005.

On July 23, 2015, when marked the 10th anniversary of the regulation implementation, the State Administration for Religious Affairs held the tenth forum on religious work around the amendment of the regulations. Wang Zuoan, the director of the department, attended the forum and put forward a claim for an amendment, declaring it as the top priority for the department in 2015.
