Chinese TV drama "Rule The World" will be officially released on 2017 however, the show is considered already as one of the most famous and most anticipated TV dramas of next year.
It tells the story of a woman who travels 400 years into the body of Dong Ge, the most beautiful woman in the land, yet she is born with a curse that can make or break a nation.
The soul of the main character, Bo Youran - played by Chinese actress Tang Yixin - enters the body of Dong'ge, a beautiful Chinese woman. Since the character goes back four centuries, there would be a lot of period costume to be worn by the actors, including Huang Taiji, the love interest of Dong'ge, played by Hong Kong actor Raymond Lam, What's on Weibo reported.
Rule the World 独步天下 begins filming as it holds its opening ceremony on Nov. 15 in Hengdian, China. A number of the cast and crew were in attendance and official posters were released to confirm Raymond Lam, Tina Tang Yixin (Legend of Chusen), Zhang Rui and Chen Xinyu (Ice Fantasy) as the leads.
The historical romance drama became famous and trending on social media after the Tencent Video Convention earlier this month, where the drama was officially announced and some of its promotional posters were revealed to the audience.
The "Rule the World" romance novel is reportedly also popular among Chinese netizens, in which there are about 18 million people read about the book's story on Sina Weibo.
