Despite the short hiatus, Air China is now offering flights from Beijing to North Korea.
It can be recalled that the state-owned carrier stated that it will be suspending flights to North Korea in April 14 due to poor sales but on Air China's website, it has announced now that flights from Beijing to Pyongyang will be made available in May 5.
The temporary suspension caught attention in the midst of tension between United States and North Korea with China in between. Donald Trump has been telling China to pressure North Kore over its nuclear weapons.
However, the official of the Air China said that the move has nothing to do with any political motivations saying "schedule flights on this route based on passenger demand."
