China is reportedly set to make the fastest train again after cutting back the speed of their Beijing to Shanghai bullet train due to a deadly crash.

According to latest reports, China's next-generation train, called the Fuxing, will run on the Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway starting on September 21. It will reportedly make the 150-kilometer journey from the capital to Shanghai in just 4 hours and 30 minutes.

According to the official Xinhua News Agency, the newest trains were revealed in June and those reportedly have a top speed of 400 kilometers per hour.

To recall, China first ran trains at 350 kilometers per hour in August 2008; but, they adjusted the speed back to 250-300 kilometers per hour in year 2011 following a two-train collision in Wenzhou that killed 40 people and 191 injured.

China has been known to laid more than 20,000 kilometers of high-speed rail and the country is set to add another 10,000 kilometers after three years.

China also spent an estimated of $360 billion on their high-speed rail and is reported to be adding another 10,000 kilometers after three years.

The world's fastest train is currently the Shanghai's MagLev airport train. The route was reportedly built only for magnetic levitation technology. It can reach top speed of 431 kilometers per hour which means it only takes seven minutes from Shanghai's Pudong district to the international airport located in the city.
