Chinese Christian NGO Reach out to Local Partners for Earthquake Rescue in Ecuador

Chinese religious NGO, the Amity Foundation has reached out to local partners to assess the situation in the affected areas. 

Latest reports state that the number of casualties of the last week's earthquake in Ecuador has risen to almost 650 people. The Ecuador earthquake left another 12,500 people injured and more than 130 people are still missing. More than 700 aftershocks have been reported, destroying about 7,000 buildings and leaving 26,000 people living in emergency shelter. 

On Aril 21st, two Amity staff arrived in Ecuador's capital Quito. With the support of the Overseas Chinese Association, Amity staff went to the heavily devastated coastal areas to understand the situation on the ground.
