Recently, the intensifying of Myanmar’s civil war has been drawing people’s attention. Pastor L (pseudonym), dedicated to a gospel-centered drug rehabilitation ministry in the country, shares the local situation online and asks for prayers.

According to the pastor, the detoxification ministry is located in the suburbs of Muse City. Everyone still managed to live a normal life before November 26, regardless of the non-stopping fire in the sky. Till the day of 26, when it escalated, Sunday worship was held amidst the sound of war fire. Though houses were hit, luckily, no casualties occurred. After praying together on November 27, the ministry had to transfer; some would move to a believer’s home in the urban area for refugees; some would go back to their homes; some would still stay in the village. Since December 2, those who didn’t move have been taking refuge at the public housing in the village.

Their Bible study hasn’t been interrupted, though the sound of the warfire never stops. Pastor L said the only thing they can do is pray for God’s help under such unstable circumstances, hoping for a turning point in their country at God’s will. “We need to have a deeper grasp on the birth of Christ during the month of Christmas,” he added.
