"Pinghe Christianity Gazetteer" records the development of Christianity in Pinghe County in the past 152 years. Some villagers who sought medical treatment in Xiamen became Christians. Pinghe County is also the birthplace of Ye Hanzhang, one of China's first Chinese pastors, and Lin Yutang, famous for world literature.
