Ancient Chinese Porcelain Depicted the Bible Story showed up in Shanghai Museum

On Aug. 7, "The Palace Museum, Shanghai Museum of Ming and Qing dynasties trade porcelain exhibition" held in the Shanghai Museum, more than 160 trade in the Ming and Qing dynasties porcelain, including a wide color graphics depicting the Bible story of Jingdezhen kiln.
The exhibition will last to next year on January 4.
Why the ancient Chinese porcelain depict the Bible story? Pengpai news claimed that in the late Ming dynasty period, China marketing abroad each year at least millions of Chinese porcelain, in the eyes of Westerners, Chinese porcelain have become the symbol of status and wealth. Westerners add own aesthetics and demand Chinese porcelain, this period brought many porcelain with new styles and patterns.
Shanghai museum outlined, more than one hundred and sixty trade porcelain during the Ming and Qing dynasties are selected from the collection of Palace Museum and the Shanghai Museum to show, designed to reflect the status of this period China's ceramics export.
The exhibition is divided into two parts of the Ming and Qing. Exhibited porcelain from mid Ming dynasty to the late of Ming dynasty are sold to Southeast Asia, West Asia, Japan and Europe, revealing the circulation of Chinese porcelain in these areas and the use, embodying the different favor and aesthetic taste in the market. Qing dynasty, the east India company of western countries in China trade dominated main status, exhibition are also given priority to with the implements of the exported Europe and America, many products with exotic tones, reflecting the era of trade of China at that time.
Ceramic culture in ancient China is an important part especially in the invention of China. At the latest since the Tang dynasty, Chinese porcelain has a large number of exportation to overseas. Fire kilns ceramics are traded throughout southeast coast in the Song and Yuan period. Ming and Qing dynasties, ceramic trade continued to prosperity, one of the main producing area in Jingdezhen of Jiang, Zhangzhou and Dehua, of Fujian, etc. Before mid-Ming dynasty, the main export markets from China porcelain are East Asia, Southeast Asia and Middle East area, the late Ming dynasty, began a large number of exportation to Europe and the America.
