Pokemon Go is taking the world by storm as almost every sector of society is now picking up the hype of the game through simple memes to tutorials as to where they could catch known Pokemon.
For those who are living outside the areas where the game is fully operational such as China, the game is remains locked due to GPS blocking because of the number of users who wish to play the game that caused an overload in the system.
However, in the social networking site Weibo, some Chinese users have reported that they were able to play the game without problems and those living in the northern regions were able to successfully catch Pokemon and posted screenshots of their devices.
Considering the availability of Pokemon Go in certain areas in China and the growing number of spin-offs or knock-offs mimicking the game's interface, Chinese bank ICBC had released a memo regarding the game on Monday in its Weibo account.
The company stated: "Please do not use excuses like "There is a Pikachu behind your counter" to trespass in secure areas of the bank."
There are also rumors growing that Tencent Holdings Ltd., China's largest videogame publisher, will be assisting in the distribution of the mobile application in the country. However, the company did not comment on Monday regarding the possibility of partnering with Pokemon Co. for the Chinese release.
Currently, it is uncertain as to how much Pokemon Go is delivering to the Pokemon Company since its release and experts have cited that should it be released in China, the market can be huge. Last year, China's mobile game revenues amounted to almost $7.1 billion.
