In order to avoid the marital crisis, Wei chose to study theology to escape the relationship, but God repaired their marriage; it was amazing that God who answered their prayer not only healed her son who was sick and could not go to the hospital during the pandemic and chose her husband to be His people.
Preacher Wei was born in a small county in Henan and followed her mother's faith since childhood, and then she married and gave birth like most women.
In 2014, Preacher Wei raised a three-year-old child with her husband. On the surface, their marriage seemed happy, but in fact, their marriage was already in jeopardy. "I don't want to bring my son every day, all I want is how to end the marriage. " Preacher Wei described herself as a small child at that time, in order to escape the reality, she went to study theology. This choice also just made up for her regret that she didn't study hard when she was a student.
At the beginning of her Bible class, she still focused on playing. Preacher Wei said "There is no pressure, and there is no need to pay tuition. My child is cared for by my parents, and I do not have to face marital problems." She was very satisfied with this way of life at that time. As she studied in the Bible class for one year, much more Word of God entered her heart so that her mind changed, because she knew the sacredness of marriage and the biblical view on divorce, then she began to pray for her own marriage hoping God help repair their marriage.
God heard Preacher Wei's prayer, and the relationship between the couple was eased. She went to study theology for another three years after graduating from the one-year Bible class. During this period, God led her to lay down a foundation of faith in the Word of God with growing faith and renewed life, so that she was able to change her mind from being self-centered and just thinking about playing around.
After graduating from the seminary in 2018, Preacher Wei devoted herself to serving the church while taking care of her two children. Her husband works outside the province to support the family's living expenses. "My husband is very supportive of my ministry. He has no other requirements for me, just take good care of the family." Preacher Wei said that the reason why my husband has had such a change is that he experienced God's special care in 2020.
Her son was sick in 2020 when the epidemic was serious, and there was no way to go to the hospital at that time. Preacher Wei invited her husband to pray to God together, and through their prayer, the child was healed. Her husband converted to Christianity after he experienced God’s great power of healing.
Preacher Wei has been serving full-time in the church, but the monthly subsidy of 500 yuan is actually not enough. Her husband supports her financially, thus she is very grateful to God for His care and guidance to their family. Even her seemingly escaping choice, there is God's beautiful protection behind it.
