The Sixth Workshop on Patristic Philosophy was hosted with the theme “Patristic Philosophy and Its History of Reception” in person and online.

On September 24-25 at the School of Philosophy Fudan University, the forum invited scholars from all over the country to discuss "Patristic Philosophy and Modern Philosophy", "Contemporary Influence of Patristic Philosophy", "Patristic Philosophy in China", "Diversity of Patristic Philosophy", "History and Culture in Patristic Period", and "Patristic Philosophy and Medieval Philosophy”.

Following the introduction of the origin of the workshop on patristic philosophy and the agenda of the seminar after the opening ceremony on September 24, Sun Xiangchen, president of the School of Philosophy, shared about the tradition of Christian philosophy research in the School.

Then, two keynote speeches were given, namely "See the Significance of the Patristic Philosophy from the Comparing Perspective of Chinese and Western Cultures" and "Eastern Transmission of Augustine's Theory of Original Sin and Grace". After the speeches, the participants discussed gender issues and the expression of Chinese terminology in Augustine’s research, as well as Augustine's concept of the body and soul.

During the forum, two groups delivered speeches alternately, followed by exchange and discussion sessions. In the special session for students, college and university students also made speeches on their research on the patristic philosophy.
