Two Churches of Guizhou Honored Religious Advanced Collectives

Recently Huangtupo Church of Liupanshui and Dongmen Church of Biye are honored religious advanced groups in the third session of "National Harmonious Religious Premises" and commended by the Central Committee of the United Front Work Department and the State Bureau of religious affairs.

Huangtupo Church located in the city center had only over 30 believers in 1993 when it was established. The number of the congregation has grown to more than 500.

It has two full-time workers and gatherings were held every day. The ministries include youth fellowship and children Sunday school.

Other non-Christian religious bodies and Believers Citizens from Guizhou receive advanced collective and individual title, Ethnic and Religious Affairs Commission of Guizhou reports.

The award ceremony of advanced monasteries and individuals on a national scale is held every three years. The first appraisal was conducted in 2010, in which 122 churches and gatherings, 29 local TSPM and CCC and 55 people were commended.
