Ji'nan Houzaimen Church held a memorial service for Yang Shukun on June 17, 2017, with about two hundred believers from choirs and youth fellowship in attendance.
Born in 1949, Yang died in a car accident at the age of 68 on June 11, 2017. He converted to Christianity in 1997 and was engaged in church service for two decades. During the past decades, he served in the church as an electrician and carpenter, and was also responsible for maintenance work. He showed great diligence in the service and lived out God's love through deeds.
The congregation expressed sadness and for his sudden death.
