The opening ceremony for the doctoral students in autumn 2023 was held at Nanjing Union Theological Seminary.
The school welcomed the arrival of seven new doctoral students on October 25, according to the seminary.
Among these seven students, four are in the New Testament field and three in pastoral studies. The number of PhD students currently studying at the seminary has reached 26.
During the opening ceremony, Professor Miikka Ruokanen advised the doctoral students to deepen their scope of reading to ensure the quality of their dissertations. Professor Chen Yongtao and Executive Deputy Dean Chen Yilu encouraged them to read, research, and write seriously.
