Last Saturday, Hangzhou Municipal CC&TSPM in Zhejiang Province ordained 14 pastors and 2 elders while also celebrating the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the Yuhang District Three-Self Patriotic Movement Committee.
According to the host, before the ordination ceremony at Yuhang Changming Church on January 18, Rev. Zhang Zhongcheng, chairperson of the municipal TSPM, and Rev. Zhang Yaofa, president of the municipal CC, urged the 16 individuals to be ordained to serve as faithful shepherds of the flock and diligent stewards of the church. Among those ordained were 6 female pastors and 1 female elder.
During the ordination ceremony, Rev. Sun Yaguo, vice president and secretary general of the municipal CC, preached on the theme "A Long and Challenging Journey." Focusing on three key aspects—"Pastoral ministry originates from Christ," "Pastoral ministry serves the church," and "Pastoral ministry ends at the end of life"—he encouraged the attending church staff to remain faithful to their calling, serve with dedication, and wait patiently.
