On April 19, Chongwenmen Church in Beijing held its sixth annual "Christian Blood Donation" charity event.

According to Beijing Municipal CC&TSPM, 21 church members participated in the drive at a blood donation site at Beijing Railway Station, contributing 6,400 milliliters of blood in total. The event has been conducted annually for six consecutive years as an initiative of the church's public service ministry.

Chongwenmen Church was first established in 1870 when it was then called Asbury Church. It was the first church constructed by the American Methodist Church in northern China. The scale of this church was smaller than its present size.  Although the church appears now as it did back then, its current seating capacity is 2,000 people.
