On June 6, Beijing CC&TSPM held a workshop for its media ministry.
According to the host, the training session was attended by 80 participants, including relevant leaders of the municipal CC&TSPM, senior pastors, and reporters and photographers from churches and meeting points across the city.
The workshop featured lectures by Mr. Ye Mingrui, vice dean and doctoral supervisor at the Television School of the Communication University of China, and Mr. Zheng Lei, associate professor and master's supervisor at the School of Journalism and Communication of Minzu University of China. Mr. Ye delivered a session on "Practical Techniques in News Photography," while Mr. Zheng spoke on "News Topics and Reporting Methods." Both lecturers shared their expertise through real-world examples.
Rev. Wang Xuan, vice chairperson of Beijing TSPM, then delivered a comprehensive review of the municipal CC&TSPM's media ministry in 2024. She acknowledged the accomplishments in areas such as ideological guidance, cultural communication, and social services, while also highlighting existing challenges and proposing directions for future development. Following the summary, Beijing CC&TSPM recognized five churches for their outstanding media ministry performance in 2024: Nankou Church, Tongzhou Church, Fengtai Church, the Shijingshan Ancient City's Meeting Point, and Chaoyang Church.
