"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16
This verse tells us how much God loves us so much that He sacrifices His own beloved son just to save us from our sins. He also tells us what will save us from perishing in hell: this is to believe and have faith in Him.
"Jesus replied, "Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God without being born again." John 3:3
According to some interpretation, the verse says that Jesus said we must be born of water and the Spirit before we see and experience the Kingdom of God. With this, we must be baptized with water in order to participate in the covenant.
"For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him." John 3:17
Remember that God is a loving Father. He saved us and even sacrificed His only Son for us to be saved from all the evil sins we have committed. He does not want us to perish in hell and does not want us to suffer. With his grace and blessings, we are truly saved. God is always a forgiving Father. We just need to believe in Him and glorify His name.
