After a thirteen-year gap, the Nepali-language Bible is set to undergo a comprehensive revision.

During the Nepali NNRV Bible Revision Workshop held on Thursday at the central office of the Nepal Bible Society in Bagdole, Lalitpur, the Society's Executive Director, Arjun Kapri, officially announced that a new revision of the Nepali Bible will soon take place.

As the official body authorized to publish the Nepali Bible in Nepal, the Nepal Bible Society is taking steps to revise the Nepali New Revised Version (NNRV). To facilitate the process, the Society has begun organizing revision workshops in the federal capital and beyond, gathering feedback and suggestions from pastors and key stakeholders of various churches.

According to Executive Director Kapri, workshops were held on July 8th in Bhaktapur, July 9th in Kathmandu, and July 10th in Lalitpur as part of the effort to gather feedback from pastors and experts in these regions.

Additionally, revision workshops were organized in various provinces, including Sankhuwasabha (Koshi Province), Sarlahi (Madhesh Province), Rupandehi (Lumbini Province), Chitwan (Bagmati Province), Surkhet (Karnali Province), and Kailali (Sudurpaschim Province). Suggestions and corrective feedback were collected from these regions as part of the revision initiative.

This is the first official step toward revising the NNRV Bible since its last revision in 2012. Feedback and correctional suggestions have been compiled from pastors and Christian leaders across all seven provinces of Nepal.

To oversee the revision process, the Nepal Bible Society has formed a 15-member Revision Committee under the coordination of Executive Director Arjun Kapri. Within this committee, a 7-member Core Bible Revision Team has been formed to lead the actual revision work.

According to Kapri, this core team is currently engaged in extensive work, and the final revised version will only be approved after a formal review and endorsement by the 15-member committee.

· Dr. Bal Krishna Sharma

· Dr. Dhan Bahadur Tamang

· Mr. Subash Pradhan
