During the past two days, Zhengzhou, the capital of Henan Province, has been hit by its heaviest rainstorm in 1000 years.

Many national meteorological observation stations in the central Chinese province broke the historical records of precipitation, as the disaster was extremely serious.

In Zhengzhou, the rainfall reached 201.9 mm in one hour, according to the Central Meteorological Observatory.

The rare and continuous heavy rainfall has caused serious waterlogging in the urban area of Zhengzhou, which has severely affected Zhengzhou's railway, highway and airlines. At present, about 100,000 people have been relocated to safe places, with 12 persons dying.

Affected by heavy rains, with waterlogging and flooding, street vehicles were swept away in many places in Henan... The disaster affected the whole country.

Many Chinese Christians and pastors have initiated intercession on the media and WeChat Moments.

At this difficult time, we should also raise our hands and pray for those facing disaster:

"Dear Lord Jesus Christ, please come down to the disaster-stricken land to comfort the injured people, dry their tears, and wipe away their pain, as they've lost their relatives, family members, friends, and some have even died in this disaster."

Lord, we plead with you to close the windows in the sky to immediately stop the downpour, as you have mercy on Henan and don't want to see your people suffer.

We pray for the victims of the current flood, that the Lord may protect them from all plagues and diseases and help them out of their pain and suffering. We wish them a return to normal life as soon as possible.

Lord, please lead the suffering people out of the darkness into the light with your compassion and love, as you cry with those who are mourning.

May the Lord hear our cry and prayers that we make in His name. Amen!"
