China's Largest Religious Charitable Organization Launches the First Provincial Public FBOs Training Base

The Amity Foundation held its 30th anniversary ceremony in Nanjing in the afternoon on November 7th, with several announcements: the establishment of an international office in Geneva, Switzerland, the setting up of the first provincial religious public training base (Jiangsu provincial public training base), and the signing of the Elderly Care Strategic Cooperation Agreement with the Anglican Church Welfare Association of Hong Kong.

Nearly 400 people attended the celebration ceremony, including leaders of the United Front, the State Administration for Religious Affairs and other related departments. Representatives of China Christianity, ambassadors on behalf of the United States, Russia and Ethiopia, and representatives on behalf of cooperation organization and the project at home and abroad related with Amity foundation, etc., were also in attendance.

Amity Foundation announced that they have established the Jiangsu provincial public training base during the celebration ceremony. As a foundation with a Christian background, Amity Foundation has been actively promoting the church to participate in social service works. Amity Foundation established the first provincial religious public training base (Jiangsu provincial public training base) with the authority given by the Administration for Religious Affairs of Jiangsu province to promote the public religious organization in a more professional direction. Amity Foundation wanted to build a professional, communicative and open platform to promote the development of religious charities.

Amity Foundation also announced the establishment of the international office in Geneva, Switzerland. This was the a new trend towards international relations after the establishment of the Amity Foundation Africa office in Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia, on July 1st this year. This also showed that Amity Foundation practiced its purpose and assumed the obligation of international humanitarian agencies.

In addition to this news, Amity Foundation also signed the Elderly Care Strategic Cooperation Agreement with the Anglican Church Welfare Association of Hong Kong to absorb more professional technical support for the Amity Foundation Ren Gu Nursing Home and to promote the development of the elderly service work.

The guests attending the ceremony also watched the micro movie about people who worked in the foundation together and witnessed the love of "Happy Silly Son" (intellectual disabilities) of Amity bakery. A birthday cake was also made to celebrate the birthday of the Amity Foundation. The Jinling joy worship group and foreign volunteers also sang hymns.

The Amity Foundation was founded in 1985 and was launched by Christendom leaders in the older generation, such as the Bishop Ding Guangxun, Dr Han Wenzao, etc. The Amity Foundation has friendly cooperations with nearly 300 institutions in more than 20 countries and regions in different forms. The foundation motivates loving people at home and abroad to support and throw themselves to philanthropy, doing a lot of work in urban and rural community development, public advocacy the development of industry, international cooperation, and other fields. The Amity Foundation has accumulated an investment of more than 2 billion yuan and has public welfare projects throughout more than 200 counties, cities, districts in 31 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions of the country, and more than ten millions of poor people benefited from its efforts.
