Taiwan: China has deployed missiles in South China Sea

China,Taiwan, Vietnam, Philippines, Brunei and Malaysia are the rival countries that have fight over South China Sea territories for how many centuries but the tension had  increased in the recent years and the latest, according to Taiwan, China has deployed missiles that are surface-to-air missile on South China Sea.

The defence ministry of Taiwan said that they have "learned of an air defence missile system deployed" by the China on Woody Island.

On the Valentine's day, satellite images showed eight missile's two batteries launchers and a radar system on Yongxing or Woody Island. Woody Island is the the largest island in Paracel which is inhabited by more than 1,000 people. Furthermore, this island was claimed by Taiwan, China and Vietnam.

BBC report said that the presence of missile will definitely increase tension again in the said South China Sea dispute.

In addition to it, Adm Harry Harris said that this move would be "a militarisation of the South China Sea in ways" in which China's President Xi Jinping has pledged not to make.

However, China said that it is legal and for civilian purposes only though people noted these moves as carrying out of extensive land reclamation.
