The local CCC&TSPM (known as China Christian Council and the National Committee of Three-Self Patriotic Movement) of Hunan and of some of its cities buy social insurances for their co-workers, said Rev. Chen Zhi, the chairman of the provincial CCC.

Chen says the local authority of Chenzhou has paid for the fellow workers' social insurances since around 2000 when he started to work as the chairman of the city's CCC&TSPM.

As the chairman of the provincial CCC,he suggested the capital government to include the religious apartments onto the list of the premium paying entities. Now his wish has come true.

In 2015 the local government allocated four hundred thousand yuan to each of the five religions, as the repayment for the previous unpaid social insurances.
He adds that currently he doesn't promote CCC&TSPM in every city to pay social insurance premiums for its co-workers and the local Christian authority will determine whether to pay or not based on its fiscal situation.
