Last week, three theological institutions in southern China held their graduation ceremonies, with over 200 seminary students completing their studies.
According to CCC&TSPM, on July 2, Jiangxi Bible School held a thanksgiving service and graduation ceremony for the Class of 2025. A total of 96 students graduated, including 20 from the undergraduate program, 13 from the secondary vocational program, and the rest from the preparatory pastoral improvement class.
Rev. Wang Siming, vice chairperson of Jiangxi Provincial TSPM, delivered a sermon based on Exodus 12:40–42 titled "The Exodus of the Lord's Army from Egypt." He encouraged the graduates, reminding them that pastoral workers are not only members of the Lord's army but also His elite soldiers. As they were about to enter the field, he exhorted them to train themselves, wait for God's timing, endure hardships with Christ, and faithfully engage in pastoral ministry.
That same day, Guangdong Union Theological Seminary held a thanksgiving worship service and graduation ceremony for its 97 graduates. Rev. Chen Suisheng, vice chairperson of Guangdong Provincial TSPM and vice dean of the seminary, preached from 1 Corinthians 3:10-17, urging the graduates to walk closely with God and build their ministries with care. Dean Rev. Cai Bosheng also addressed the graduates, encouraging them to return to their churches with zeal—"to see the light" in Christ, "pursue the light" through their calling, "shine" in this era, and "live as a light" to others.
The graduating cohort included 20 students from the undergraduate theology program, 27 from the undergraduate theology and pastoral program, nine from the junior college theology program, 12 from the junior college sacred music program, and 29 from the extended course program.
On July 3, Sichuan Theological Seminary held its 22nd undergraduate graduation ceremony, with 23 students graduating.
Rev. Rao Jianhua, chairperson of Sichuan TSPM and president of the seminary, encouraged the graduates to integrate traditional Chinese culture into their faith, thereby strengthening their spiritual foundation. He also urged them to remain clear-minded, sharpen their discernment between right and wrong, and incorporate their firm stance against infiltration and heresy into their daily ministry, contributing to the healthy inheritance of Christianity.
