The Divinity School of Chung Chi College (DSCCC) of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), will host its annual Walkathon on Sunday, March 9, 2025. This year's event aims to raise HK$1.5 million, with proceeds supporting two crucial initiatives: the Chung Chi Theological Education Fund (85%) and Project E (15%).

Established in 1963, DSCCC has been committed to providing quality theological education and training for Christian leaders in Hong Kong and beyond. It does not receive government funding and relies on the support of various organizations and individuals to maintain its operations and development.

The Chung Chi Theological Education Fund was established in 2019 to address the need for hiring new faculty members during a period of significant retirements. The fund has successfully reached its initial goal of HK$6 million, which has been allocated to the hiring of three new assistant professors. However, DSCCC seeks to raise an additional HK$4.8 million to ensure the continuity and strength of its faculty team.

Additionally, Project E, an ambitious campus development initiative, aims to address the growing needs of the college community. The project includes new student hostels accommodating 300 students, staff quarters, and a Digital Cultural and Art Creativity Centre. Located adjacent to the University MTR station, the development is scheduled for completion in the 2026-27 academic year.
