Last weekend, 42 church co-workers were ordained in Shaanxi and Zhejiang provinces.
According to the Shaanxi Provincial CC&TSPM, an ordination service was held on August 31 at Shuangwang Street Church, under the Weinan CC&TSPM. Rev. Li Shizheng, vice chairperson, vice president, and secretary general of the provincial CC&TSPM, delivered a sermon titled "Let Us Rise and Build!" highlighting three themes: building as a long and demanding mission; we as a group of co-workers united in heart and mind; and rising as an urgent call to action.
Following the message, the pastorate conducted the laying on of hands for 25 candidates, ordaining 11 as pastors (including nine women) and 14 as elders (including 12 women).
Earlier, on August 30, Shaoxing Municipal CC&TSPM in Zhejiang Province held an ordination ceremony at Chengzhong Church in Xinchang County, Shaoxing. According to Chengguan Church in Zhuji City, 15 co-workers were ordained as pastors and two as elders during the service.
