On April 20 and 27, the Urumqi CC&TSPM in Xinjiang ordained four pastors and two elders at churches in the cities of Yining, Urumqi, Tacheng, and Korla, respectively.
During the ceremonies, the pastorate exhorted the newly ordained ministers with teachings from the Bible, conducted the laying on of hands ceremony for them, conferred holy stoles, and presented them with Bibles, reported CCC&TSPM.
CCC&TSPM wrote, "The ordination of these six clergymen from four churches has further strengthened the pastoral capacity of the Christian community in Xinjiang. The newly ordained ministers are now entrusted with the dual responsibility of shepherding the church and serving society, contributing to the unity, stability, and economic development of Xinjiang, as well as the growth of the Christian faith in the region."
