On May 10, an opening ceremony of the "Herong Lecture," organized by Jinan Municipal CC&TSPM in Shandong Province, was held at Jingsi Road Church. The lecture aims to explore the concept of Christian harmony and integration, as well as to advance the practice of the sinicization of Christianity in the city.

According to the host, nearly 440 participants attended, including leaders of the municipal CC&TSPM, representatives from registered Christian organizations across all districts and counties, church venue heads, pastors, elders, and theology students.

As the first session of the lecture series, Professor Zhou Jinlong from Minzu University of China delivered a presentation on the formation background, core concepts, and distinctive values of Xi Jinping's cultural thought.

The Jinan CC&TSPM intends to use the "Herong Lecture" ("Herong" means "Harmonious Integration") to invite experts and scholars from Minzu University of China, the Religious Research Institute of the Municipal United Front Work Department, Nanjing Union Theological Seminary, and Shandong Theological Seminary, along with pastoral workers, to systematically examine the development of Christian harmony and integration thought. The initiative will promote theoretical research and training related to the sinicization of Christianity in the new era. Topics will include core socialist values, traditional Chinese culture, the Bible, and church doctrines and regulations, which is meant to guide local church leaders to practice a harmonious approach to the connection between God and humanity and relationships within families, cultures, religions, as well as society at large.
